Conversions dashboard

Exact unit conversions, instantly.

Most unit conversions are won or lost on two things: the exact factor and a fast lookup table. CalcBold's Conversions tools give you both — every converter uses the internationally-defined factor (no drifting approximations), shows the formula, and lists the common values people actually search for. Free, instant, no signup.

Frequently Asked Questions

The most common questions we get about this calculator — each answer is kept under 60 words so you can scan.

  • Are these conversions exact or approximate?
Exact. Every converter uses the internationally-defined factor — for weight, 1 lb = 0.45359237 kg by the 1959 yard-and-pound agreement; for length, 1 inch = 2.54 cm exactly. We carry full precision internally and only round the displayed result, so the math never drifts the way the taught shortcuts (like '1 kg = 2.2 lb') do.
  • Why a dedicated page per conversion instead of one converter?
Because the common-values table is the point. A dedicated kg-to-lbs page can show the 20 values people actually look up (10 kg, 44 kg, 70 kg…) plus the formula and the history — a generic converter can't. We keep the all-in-one unit converter too, for one-off pairs.
  • Do you support metric and imperial both ways?
Yes. Each converter handles its pair in both directions (the page explains the reverse factor), and the all-in-one unit converter covers length, weight, volume, temperature, area, and time across metric and imperial systems.
  • Is anything stored when I convert?
No. All conversion math runs in your browser. There are no accounts, no logging of the values you enter, and no trackers inside the converter. Closing the tab erases everything.
