1. Acceptance of terms

By accessing calcbold.com (the “Service”) you agree to these Terms of Use (“Terms”). If you do not agree, do not use the Service. These Terms form a binding agreement between you and CalcBold, operated by SemiSoftwares.

2. The calculators are educational — not advice

Every calculator on CalcBold is an educational tool. Outputs are based on standard formulas, reasonable defaults, and the values you enter. They do not constitute:

  • Financial, investment, or tax advice;
  • Medical, diagnostic, or clinical advice;
  • Legal advice or legal opinion;
  • A commitment from any lender, insurer, or institution.

Before making a consequential decision — signing a mortgage, changing your diet, filing taxes — consult a qualified professional in the relevant field.

3. Accuracy and limitations

We make every effort to keep formulas current and results accurate. However:

  • Tax calculators use bracket and threshold values for the listed tax year. Laws change frequently — verify against the official source (IRS Pub 17 in the US, HMRC in the UK, etc.) before relying on any number.
  • Health calculators use population-level formulas (Mifflin-St Jeor, WHO BMI, etc.) with known individual-level error margins. They are screening tools, not diagnoses.
  • Finance calculators assume standard reducing-balance amortization and do not account for fees, variable rates, prepayment penalties, or regional differences unless explicitly stated.

We make no warranty that the Service will be error-free, uninterrupted, or suitable for your specific circumstances.

4. Your responsibilities

You agree to:

  • Use the Service for lawful purposes only.
  • Not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of the Service or bypass any security measures.
  • Not scrape, republish, or resell calculator results or site content in bulk without written permission.
  • Not use automated systems (bots, scripts) to generate excessive requests that degrade the Service for others.

5. Intellectual property

CalcBold branding, calculator designs, written explanations, and site code are © the current year, SemiSoftwares. Standard formulas (EMI, BMI, TDEE, etc.) are in the public domain and may be used without attribution. Our written commentary around those formulas may not be copied in bulk to competing sites.

6. AI-powered insights

The “AI insight” feature uses a large language model to generate plain-English explanations of your result. AI output can contain errors, may occasionally miss nuance, and should be treated as conversational assistance, not authoritative fact. Do not act on an AI insight without cross-checking against the methodology and primary sources cited on each calculator page.

7. Terms of sale

7.1 Orders are offers. Placing an order is an offer to buy, not a completed contract. The contract forms when we send the dispatch confirmation email. Until then we may decline or cancel an order, and we will refund you in full if we do.

7.2 Pricing errors. We take care with pricing, but if an item is listed at an obviously incorrect price we may cancel the order rather than fulfill it, and we will tell you why and refund you in full. We will never charge you more than the price shown at the moment you ordered.

7.3 Payment. Payment is taken at the time of order through Stripe. We accept the card types listed at checkout. Card details are handled entirely by Stripe and never reach our servers.

7.4 Shipping and risk of loss. We ship within the United States only. Title and risk of loss pass to you on delivery, not on dispatch: if a parcel is lost or damaged in transit, that is our problem to resolve, and we will replace or refund it. Delivery estimates on the shipping page are estimates, not guarantees.

7.5 Returns. The returns policy forms part of these Terms. In summary: 30 days from delivery, free prepaid return label, no restocking fee, refund to your original payment method. Statutory rights are in addition to that policy, not replaced by it.

7.6 Product information. We describe products as accurately as we can, and colours vary between screens. Dimensions, capacities, and materials are taken from the manufacturer. If a product materially differs from its description, it is covered by the returns policy above.

7.7 Availability. Listed items are available to order. If an item goes out of stock after you order, we will contact you the same day with a restock date and the option of a full refund.

8. Third-party services

The Service integrates with Google Analytics, Google AdSense, Anthropic’s Claude API, Cloudflare, and (optionally) Microsoft Clarity, Sentry, and Cloudflare Web Analytics. By using the Service you accept their respective terms. We are not liable for the content, functionality, or policies of third parties.

9. Advertising disclosure

The store carries no third-party advertising. Where ad slots are enabled on calculator pages they are served by Google AdSense. We do not endorse any advertised product and are not responsible for its quality, safety, or legality. If you encounter an ad that violates Google’s policies, report it via the ad’s built-in “Ad options” link.

No affiliate links. We do not run affiliate partnerships. Nothing on this site earns us a commission for sending you elsewhere, and no supplier can pay for placement in a category listing or a buying guide. When we recommend a size or a product, the recommendation is not bought.

10. Disclaimer of warranties

The Service is provided “as is” and “as available” without warranty of any kind, express or implied, including without limitation warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, or non-infringement.

11. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, CalcBold and SemiSoftwares shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or exemplary damages arising from your use of the Service, including financial loss, health outcomes, or missed deadlines, even if advised of the possibility. Total cumulative liability for any claim shall not exceed the amount you paid us in the preceding twelve months, which for someone who has only used the free calculators is USD $0. Nothing here limits your statutory rights as a consumer, or our liability for the products we sell you under section 7.

12. DMCA — copyright takedown

We respect intellectual property rights. If you believe content accessible on calcbold.com infringes your copyright, send a written notice that includes:

  • Your physical or electronic signature.
  • Identification of the copyrighted work claimed to be infringed.
  • Identification of the material to be removed and information sufficient to locate it (a calcbold.com URL).
  • Your contact information — address, telephone, email.
  • A statement that you have a good-faith belief that the use is not authorized.
  • A statement, under penalty of perjury, that the information is accurate and that you are the rights holder or authorized to act.

Designated DMCA agent: [email protected]. We respond within 14 days of a valid notice. We may forward the notice to whoever posted the material if applicable, and we may terminate access for repeat infringers per 17 U.S.C. § 512(i).

Counter-notices follow the standard DMCA § 512(g) process and should also be sent to [email protected].

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes will be reflected in the Effective date at the top of this page. Continued use of the Service after an update constitutes acceptance of the new Terms.

14. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the jurisdiction in which SemiSoftwares is incorporated. Any dispute will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction.
