About the 3-Piece Griddle Turner Set

Three stainless turners with mixed-wood handles: a 6-inch solid blade for smash burgers and eggs, an 8-inch solid blade for anything that needs supporting across its length, and an 8-inch slotted blade for lifting food out of fat. The edges are thin enough to slide under a fried egg without tearing it, which is the one thing a silicone turner cannot do. Each handle has a hanging hole. Not for nonstick surfaces — steel this thin will score a coating.

What's inside

  • 6" solid turner — 29.5 × 7.2 cm, 130 g
  • 8" solid turner — 36 × 7.2 cm, 174 g
  • 8" slotted turner — 35.5 × 7.2 cm, 167 g
  • Stainless blades, mixed-wood handles with hanging holes
  • For cast iron, carbon steel, stainless and griddles — not nonstick

Still deciding? Which Kitchen Utensils Do You Actually Need?

Six tools cover almost all home cooking: a turner or fish slice, a solid spoon, a slotted spoon, a ladle, tongs, and a heatproof spatula. Everything beyond that is task-specific rather than essential, which is why 20-piece sets end up with half their contents in a drawer permanently. Material matters more than count: stainless steel lasts effectively forever and takes any heat, but it will scratch a non-stick pan, so a non-stick cook needs silicone or nylon for those pans specifically. One-piece stainless construction avoids the two failure points of cheaper sets — a handle that works loose, and a seam that traps food.

Questions about the 3-Piece Griddle Turner Set

Can these be used on a nonstick pan?

No. The blades are thin steel with a sharp working edge, which is exactly what scores a nonstick coating. Use silicone or wood on nonstick and keep these for cast iron, carbon steel, stainless and flat tops.

What is the difference between the two 8-inch turners?

One is solid and one is slotted. The solid blade supports delicate things across their full length; the slotted one lets fat and oil drain away as you lift, which matters for anything fried.

Are the handles dishwasher safe?

The steel is, but the wood handles are not — a dishwasher cycle dries out and eventually splits wood. Hand wash and dry, the same as you would a wooden spoon.

Are they good for a barbecue?

Yes, this is the shape sold for flat-top griddles and barbecue plates. The 6-inch is the one most people reach for on a grill, and the handles stay cool enough to hold away from the heat source.

How thick are the blades?

Thin enough to get under food cleanly rather than pushing it. The supplier does not publish a gauge figure, so we do not quote one.
